Have you ever felt FOMO?!
Most of my life I can remember a time when I felt lonely, different, or unsure where we belonged.
Sometimes, all it takes is one person to make someone feel welcome. An invitation to sit together or even just a smile.
A simple “Do you want to play with us?” Inclusion is one of the greatest forms of kindness because it tells others:
“You matter, and there is a place for you here.”
Teaching children to notice those who may be standing alone helps build empathy and confidence. Friendship doesn’t require everyone to look alike, think alike, or come from the same background. The most beautiful communities are built when differences are celebrated instead of feared.
Week 2 Kindness Challenge:
Encourage your child to invite someone new to join a game, activity, or lunch table this week.
