β¨ A little imagination, a lot of heart, and a dream that finally became reality! β¨
There’s something incredibly special about seeing your name on the cover of a book. But seeing that book available on Amazon, where families, teachers, and young readers can discover it? That’s a whole different kind of excitement! I’m thrilled to share that my children’s book, Cookie’s Sweetest Day: Where Friendship Leads the Way!, is available on Amazon in both paperback and hardcover editions! While this may seem like a simple announcement, for me, it’s another meaningful milestone in a journey filled with creativity, courage, and a whole lot of heart.
πͺ Welcome to Dessertville!
Imagine a magical place where cupcake houses line the streets, rainbow lollipop bushes brighten the landscape, and a chocolate stream flows through town. In Cookie’s Sweetest Day, readers meet Cookie, an adorable dog with a big heart, and his wonderful friends Sprinklehop the bunny and Honeywhiskers the cat. Together, they discover that life’s sweetest moments aren’t about the treats we enjoy but the kindness we share, the friendships we build, and the joy of helping one another.
Through colorful illustrations, lovable characters, and a heartwarming adventure, Cookie’s story encourages young readers to embrace friendship, kindness, teamwork, and inclusion. Because sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness leave the biggest impressions.
π More Than Just a Children’s Book
When I began writing Cookie’s story, I knew I wanted to create something meaningful. As a mother, writer, and educator, I’ve always believed that stories have the power to shape how children see themselves and the world around them. I didn’t want to write just another children’s book. I wanted to create a story that would spark conversations between parents and children, inspire teachers in their classrooms, and remind young readers that everyone deserves kindness, friendship, and a sense of belonging.
This isn’t just a children’s book. It’s a hug in story form.
I hope that message stays with readers long after they’ve turned the final page.
π A Dream That Took 44 Years
Here’s something you might not know about me. When I was in first grade, my teacher, Ms. Conrad, told my parents that I would become a great writer one day. At the time, I couldn’t have imagined what that prediction would mean. Life took me through different schools, experiences, careers, and adventures. I pursued my love of writing professionally, became a mother, and spent years helping others find their voices through words. But somewhere along the way, that little girl’s dream of becoming an author stayed with me.
At 44 years old, I finally published my first children’s book. And today, knowing that families can discover Cookie’s story on Amazon makes that childhood dream feel even sweeter. It’s a reminder that dreams don’t have expiration dates. Sometimes, they simply need a little more time to find their way into the world.
π Why I Hope You’ll Share Cookie’s Story
Cookie’s Sweetest Day is written for children ages 3β10, making it a wonderful addition to home libraries, classrooms, and bedtime reading routines. Whether you’re a parent looking for a meaningful story, a grandparent searching for a thoughtful gift, or an educator encouraging kindness and inclusion, I hope Cookie and his friends bring a little extra joy to your day.
And perhaps the most exciting part? Dessertville is just getting started! Cookie’s world continues to grow with new characters, adventures, and stories that celebrate the qualities that make each of us special.

π Thank You for Being Part of My Story
Publishing a children’s book has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. But what makes it truly special isn’t simply seeing my name on the cover. It’s imagining a child smiling at Cookie’s adventures, a parent sharing the story at bedtime, or a teacher using Dessertville to start a conversation about kindness. Those are the moments that remind me why I started writing.
